En 2007, l’ONU nous a annoncé que le réchauffement climatique allait déclencher des épidémies de malaria:

Global warming will put millions more people at risk of malaria. [...] Increases in rainfall, temperature and humidity will favor the spread of malaria-transmitting mosquitoes according to the 2007-2008 Human Development Report. That could put 220 million to 400 million additional people at greater risk of the disease that kills about 1 million a year, mostly in Africa.

En 2013, une étude publié dans le Journal of the Royal Statistical Society nous apprend qu’il n’existe aucun lien entre la propagation de la malaria et le réchauffement climatique:

We show that the probability of eradication of malaria jumps sharply when average household size drops below four people. Warmer temperatures are not associated with increased malaria prevalence. We propose that household size matters because malaria is transmitted indoors at night.

Malgré ces contradiction n’oubliez pas que la science est définitive, que le débat est clos et qu’il y a consensus…
